Inspection Types

There are three types of inspections available at Universal:

  1. Verbal inspection—An inspection is conducted and results are given to the client verbally. A verbal inspection is sufficient if the owner just needs to determine the party responsible for the problem.

  2. Written inspection—An inspection is conducted and results are given to the client in a written
    report.
A written inspection is needed if the owner must have support for a court case or mediation.

  3. Inspection rebuttal—A client or other parties may have received one or more other inspections that do not appear fact based or accurate. An NWFA CP rebuttal can point out faults in other inspection reports and/or introduce new facts and conclusions. This formal rebuttal is then submitted to a panel of three senior inspectors for review and approval or rejection.
